New trends of the OLED TV market
When panel quality has been established for many years and cannot be improved soon, many manufacturers aim to compete on price and special features.

After launching at CES 2024, high-end TV models were introduced by LG and Samsung in Vietnam in April and May, promising to make the market more exciting in the second half of the year. In particular, the OLED TV line is increasingly diverse and integrates many interesting features.
OLED TV models in the Vietnamese market are now more accessible. At a price of over 30 million VND, users can choose a number of TV models using OLED panels from brands such as LG and Samsung.
At an event in Hanoi, Mr. Song Ikhwan – General Director of Sales and Marketing LG Electronics Vietnam shared the company’s strategy in the coming time is to offer products with more accessible prices. This is one of LG’s two goals, besides “bringing a TV with a unique experience, more tailored to the needs of the Vietnamese market”.
On LG’s online store, recently many products have been discounted according to promotional programs for registered members. At the time of writing, the 55-inch OLED A3 model costs 23.9 million. A3 is LG’s most accessible OLED product line, and this price is not much different from TV lines using high-end LCD panels from other brands and LG itself, such as the Nanocell line.
At the event, LG representatives also said that the A product line will be replaced by the B4 series in 2024, with sizes from 48 to 77 inches. On LG’s website, the price of the 55-inch OLED B4 model is 35.5 million.
Besides LG, there are many names in the OLED TV market such as Samsung, Sony or Casper, but LG is still the company that has the advantage with this technology. At prices above 30 million, users can also find some OLED TV models from Sony and Samsung, but they are all models from 2023.
In addition to the B4 series with accessible prices, LG still has 3 more advanced OLED TV product lines, focusing on display technology, processors and high-end features.
The company’s high-end G4 and M4 lines are equipped with Alpha 11 processors, with AI-integrated features such as upscaling, adjusting display brightness or sound. These high-end TV lines are also equipped with panels with a higher maximum brightness than the C and B series.
Another highlight of the M4 series is wireless connection. This TV model supports a wireless transceiver, in which users can connect devices to the transceiver and place them anywhere in the room at a distance of 9 m, and the TV only needs to be plugged in. This can bring a more airy and neater space to use in the family.
Meanwhile, the C4 series is aimed at customers who want to play games, with a 144 Hz refresh rate, supporting in-game frame optimization modes such as NVIDIA G-SYNC or AMD FreeSync.
In addition, LG representative also confirmed that the company’s TV lines from 2024 will integrate quick access keys into the VTVGo application, according to regulations of the management agency.
