Xiaomi launches the first POCO tablet: 12.1 inch screen, Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chip, 10,000mAh battery
For the first time, a POCO brand tablet model appeared.
Besides POCO F6 and F6 Pro, POCO also introduced its first tablet model called POCO Pad, designed for both work and entertainment. However, similar to the POCO F6 series duo as well as POCO tradition, the POCO Pad is basically a renamed version of Redmi Pad Pro.
POCO Pad has a 12.1-inch LCD screen with 2.5K resolution, supports 1.07 billion colors (12-bit) and 120Hz refresh rate. Maximum brightness reaches 600 nits and at lower brightness levels, users can enjoy a flicker-free experience with DC dimming technology.
POCO says the tablet is optimized for both entertainment and work with a 16:10 aspect ratio. In terms of entertainment, the device is equipped with four speakers with Dolby Atmos, the screen also supports Dolby Vision for higher image quality when watching online videos.
The 10,000mAh battery inside the tablet can watch videos continuously for 16 hours. POCO Pad supports 33W charging, and POCO says just 15 minutes of charging is enough to play music for 26 hours.
POCO Pad is equipped with Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chip, also used on POCO X6. This chip is combined with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal memory, and supports microSD cards up to 1.5TB.
As a product of Xiaomi, POCO Pad runs the HyperOS operating system, providing a number of useful features when connected to HyperOS phones. For example, users can project their phone screen onto their tablet and drag and drop content between the two devices (text, files, images), or use a shared clipboard like iCloud Hand-off. Another interesting point is that the tablet can be connected to your phone with just a tap.
POCO Pad has a unibody metal design, is 7.52mm thick and weighs 571g. The device comes in two colors: Gray and Blue.
POCO has also created a POCO Pad Cover to protect the tablet on the go and a POCO Pad Keyboard for those who need to use it for work. There’s also the POCO Smart Pen for taking notes and sketching.
In Vietnam, POCO Pad 8GB/256GB version will cost 8,690,000 VND, with two colors: Graphite Gray and Sea Blue. From June 6 to June 30, customers who buy POCO Pad will receive a discount of 500,000 VND and 0% installment payment offer.
